ABOUT FAYE BERRYMAN

Faye Berryman is the principal author of the Fitzroy Readers, developed in the 1970s, and founding principal of the highly regarded Fitzroy Community School (FCS) in Melbourne, Australia. She is a former Child Social Worker and secondary English teacher, and is still Head of English at FCS. She is passionate about literature and helping children learn to read and write. The Fitzroy Readers are hugely popular with home-schoolers, are used in over 4,000 Australian schools, and are sold around the world.
